Second Cup wants to offer a new product that will leave its customers with a different type of high. Marijuana. The Canadian coffee company wants to convert some of its coffee shops into marijuana dispensaries, and eventually, pot lounges. Reminder: The Canadian government plans to legalize – and manage – the use of marijuana by this summer. Second Cup signed an agreement with Ottawa-based marijuana clinic operator National Access Cannabis to develop and operate a network of pot stores across the country. The plan will see pot brought into at least 20 of Second Cup’s 286 stores across Canada. The announcement boosted the company’s value up by almost 31%.
